There’s no pressure to create a “finished” piece — the goal is to experience the act of drawing as mindfulness and self-care.This session will introduce drawing as a meditative and grounding practice rather than a technical skill. Participants will be guided through slow, intentional mark-making exercises designed to quiet the mind and encourage self-reflection. He received an MFA in Painting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute. Working across drawing, painting, and video, his practice explores perception, memory, attention, and the emotional logic of everyday life, often blending abstraction and figuration through playful, diaristic imagery. Restrepo has presented solo exhibitions in Miami, including projects at the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood and [NAME] Publications, and has participated in group exhibitions across the United States and internationally, including in London. His work has been exhibited at venues such as the Coral Springs Museum of Art, 1310 Gallery, and Arts on Douglas, and has been featured in publications including Cultured Magazine, saw palm, Stonecoast Review, and Inlandia Journal.
